This year, the Lions International Convention will be held in the "Land Down Under" - Sydney, Australia. The dates are Monday, June 28 to Friday, July 2, 2010. A copy of the Convention Schedule of Events is attached to this report.
MD 22 Lions will be housed at the Holiday Inn Darling Harbour. The hotel is well-equipped with a host of modern amenities including a gym, sauna, internet service, and 2 onsite restaurants. The hotel is convenient to shopping, theaters, restaurants, and attractions; and, most importantly, is located a short walk from the Sydney Convention Center. The cost is $195 per night. MD 22 Lions will share the hotel with Lions districts from the other southeast states.
The District Governors Elect are assigned to the Star City Hotel. The hotel is located one mile from the Convention Center, where the DGE training will take place. The District Governors-Elect Training will be held from June 25-28, 2010.
